Children's Front: Working Meetings
The Narvik War and Peace Centre (Narvik, Norway) and Murmansk Museum of Regional Studies (Murmansk, Russia) will continue work on the project Childrens Front - creating a joint exhibition about childhood in the High North during WWII.
The Narvik War and Peace Centre and Murmansk Museum of Regional Studies have started work on a joint exhibition Childrens Front in 2018. The goal is to open the exhibition both in Narvik and in Murmansk in 2020, in order to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the WWII. In 2018 we signed a partnership contract between the institutions, and arranged a project meeting in Narvik, where we discussed further work on the project. The exhibition will tell about different aspects of childhood in Northern Norway and Northern-West Russia during the WWII. It is not a goal to compare childhood in these regions, because there were many differences and not every single topic can be compared. It is better to say that the goal is to make people reflecting about childhood during not only the WWII, but any conflict.
