International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry (ICR) together with partners in Russia and Scandinavia is making the 1st Arctic Indigenous Peoples´ Food Innovation Gathering, to be held in Yakutsk, Sakha Republic Russia this autumn, focusing on Barents and Arctic indigenous youth, food cultures and knowledge of Arctic indigenous peoples, and how such knowledge can drive innovation and business development for indigenous peoples based on their own resources, knowledge and people, in an ever more rapidly changing Arctic. The application is linked to the Arctic Council EALLU program, that won the prestigious main prize - Best Food Book in the World - at the 23rd International Gourmand Awards in Yantai, China in 2018.
