New information on the severe health impact for people living in the area of tar sand oil production and the long term impact of land and waters will be discussed. Excerpts from the CBC documentary on the tar sand industry “The End of Dirty Oil» will be shown and participants of First Nations peoples from the area will give their testimony. Mining on indigenous land, with focus on Sámi areas in Scandinavia, will be another topic.
