The University of Tromsø and the Northern (Arctic) Federal University of Arkhangelsk will arrange a multidisciplinary conference in Arkhangelsk. The purpose of the conference is to debate different theoretical interpretations of the concept “northernness” and its usage in Norway and Russia. The speakers are established scholars from Russia, Norway, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands.
