All set for Barents Summer Games
This weekend the biggest Barents Games in history will be held in Oulu, Finland. More than 1000 athletes competing in 14 differents sports will turn the Finnish town upside down during the three days of Barents sports party.
Tromsø was the venue for the first Barents Winter Games in April 2014. The competitions in Oulu will be the second Summer Games, but by far the biggest Barents Games ever held.
There will be athletes from all four Barents countries in Oulu below you will find link to the competitions and the scheduel for each sport.

The Norwegian Barents Secretariat has contributed with more than 160 000 EUR to finance the Norwegian and Russian participation in the Barents Summer Games 2015. The sports projects coordinator of the Secretariat, Kim Stenersen visited the Barents Winter Games in Tromsø and was impressed by the atmosphere, which the organizers managed to create in Tromsø. BSG Oulu will be even bigger.
- The Barents Summer Games is one of the most important arenas for Barents sports and serves at the flagship for people-to-people projects within sports. For us who are working to promote the Barents cooperation it is extremely inspiring to participate on events like this, says Stenersen who will be present in Oulu this weekend.
