In April 2011 CHNL and Rosatomflot establish the High North Logistics Information Office (LiO) in Kirkenes. LiO’s objective is to assist businesses and international organizations in obtaining practical information on Arctic ports and shipping on the Northeast Passage. At the same time CHNL is building up an information database or a “knowledge hub”, ARCLIS, providing high quality information/data on non‐living resources (oil, gas, and minerals), shipping and logistics in the Arctic. The establishment phase of both projects is three years and involves active cooperation with leading Russian, Norwegian and international organizations.
