Russian politicians on Barents seminar

A delegation of Russian parliamentarians is in Kirkenes to learn and discuss the experiences from 20 years of Norwegian – Russian cooperation. - This should be an open forum for good discussions, Secretary General Rune Rafaelsen said in his opening remarks. 

In order to be acquainted with experience of Barents cooperation and Russian-Norwegian cross-border cooperation, the delegation of the Standing Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of Parliamentary Association of the North-West Russia (PANWR) visits Kirkenes on October 17th 2013.

The Norwegian Barents Secretariat has put together a wide program, which starts with a miniseminar at the Secretariat’s office. In his opening remarks secretary general at the Norwegian Barents Secretariat, Rune Rafaelsen, emphasized the importance of maintaining a good dialog between Norway and Russia.

Therefore the meeting in Kirkenes would also have a focus on open dialogue and good discussion around the conference table.
