Spektakel

Norwegian citizens based in the three northernmost counties of Norway can be granted funding for their Russian - Norwegian cooperation project.

Since the establishment in 1993 the Norwegian Barents Secretariat has contributed to the co financing of more than 4 000 Norwegian-Russian cooperation projects. If you have a good project idea and a Norwegian or Russian partner, the chances of receiving funds from the Norwegian Barents secretariat are good.

Every year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs place 35 million NOK at the disposal of the Norwegian Barents Secretariat to support regional Norwegian-Russian cooperation projects. The Secretariat distributes the funds to the projects which fulfill the criteria which are set for project applicants. The aim is to establish stronger relations between Norwegians and Russians living in the north. The Barents Secretariat project funds cofinance most of the projects. However, there are several smaller financing programs which are aimed at supporting various fields of priority.

All applicants must read and accept the Guidelines and Conditions for grants from the Norwegian Barents Secretariat before sending the application.
